Here goes. The first post – The New Club – brunch / lunch / dinner / cocktails

The New Club

133-134 Kings Road, Brighton, BN1 2HH Tel: 01273 730 320 thenewclubbrighton.com

Good for brunch / lunch/ casual dinner / cocktails.

Medium price range. I have been to The New Club a couple of times.  The location is great right on the seafront overlooking the West Pier.  Really nice cool/ urban interior. The cocktails look incredible – we tried the Brighton Fizz and the Bloody Mary – both were beautiful and delicious.  They do a bacon vodka cocktail which I am ashamed to say I was too scared to try and couldn’t talk anyone else into trying.  Will give it a go on the next visit in the name of research (possibly).  We ate halloumi with giant couscous, pomegranate and satay sauce, fish and chips and burgers – all very good with friendly service.

Hello!

Out and about in Brighton, Hove and further afield. Eating, drinking, laughing and chatting. Where shall we go?

I used to be an enthusiastic cook. 20+ years of turning out family dinner every night and I have slightly run out of steam. I still cook at home but love to eat out and try new things. I started this blog as I seem to eat out a lot and friends often ask for recommendations for restaurants and cafes.  Also I sometimes forget where I have been!

These are not restaurant reviews, I am not Jay Rayner, but just some recommendations of restaurants, cafes and bars that I have visited and enjoyed.
